Just got back from Massage Envy and no wonder people get massages! He worked the bazonkas out of my jaw and i have more range of motion and less pain. He also worked on my psoas muscle which he said "feels like a very old injury" Why yes YES it is from my high school years i think. man when he hit that trigger point i bent in halve and screamed "WHOA"......i feel way better after it though. He worked so much stiffness out of my neck and head.
He said.......
"you must have a very stressful life and worked tirelessly over a computer" Check
I got a membership and i feel real good about it :D I loved loved loved the head massage!!!

Dinner
Ginger Pork:
Lean pork loin sliced thin
4 tbs of grated fresh Ginger
2 chopped gloves of garlic
Side of a 1 1/2 cups of butternut squash
side of guacamole (avocados, fresh jalapeno, dried pepper flakes, smallest pinch of sea salt, drops of lemon juice, chopped onion...mix in bag so you can save and keep air out)

4 cups of water
1 whole huge bouquet of broccoli

stress!
I have lock jaw and have to wear this crazy looking mouth guard for a while. its helping so far. But it was $45!!!
work is crazy and there is so much to do! Aaahhhh
I have to skip XFit tomorrow so I can go get my bite looked at and maybe re-aligned...ugh!
I have a massage appointment on thursday for all the stupid knots in my neck, shoulders and traps. hopefully since its called a "sports" massage it will help me in many ways :)
well of to work some more and rest a bit.

Fight Gone Bad
So i think i am ready to do RX with Kathy. My score went up an additional 140 points and i can see and feel a huge improvement in 1 month. My first score was 203 and now 343. I HEART CROSSFIT!
IT WAS HOT TODAY! it's So. Cal for goodness sakes! i never ever take my shirt off during workouts but i was sooo hot and I was sweating like a person wrapped in a blanket by the fire...ok a little dramatic LOL
Next FGB i will up the weight from.....
#12 to #14 (wallballs)
#48 to #55 (push press)
#36 to #55 (sumo dead-lift high pulls)
I can do the 20" jump but my hip flexor is still recovering :) i'd say its at 90%

So Kathy and I were going to take the Paleo challenge in 2 weeks but got too excited. We are starting this weekend. I already eat Paleo 80-85% of the time but... 100% is strict! I will need some new fun recipes :)

Dead Leg Run
I didn't drink as much water as I usually do for the majority of the day so when I got to the gym I was hoping i would be alright...I was fine but my legs had no idea what was in store...i love fish oil! i don't know if its the oil but i am recovering faster and seem to heal quicker from my aches

Today's Workout
So today of all days is the day i left my cell phone at home and wasn't able to take pics or video..BUMMER!!! I was flipping a huge tractor tire, worked on my dead-lifts and learned the clean and jerk :) I feel my dead-lifts were much better. I really like looking in the mirror to keep everything in check. The clean and jerk is fun but I need focus on getting a good shrug and getting under the bar smoother with my elbows out. I got a few good ones for my first try. THX eric!

Cheat meal...kinda
PIZZA!
Gluten-free pizza crust
Organic pizza sauce (no artificial anything/preservatives)
Mozzarella cheese
Pepperoni (no nitrates etc)
Sprinkled Parmesan
For those who don't know me..I love crunchy/crispy food so I always almost burn food lol!! This time I was checking my emails and saved my pizza :) ok not really HA

Dental work ruined my day...
So I woke up at 7am to be at the dentists office at 8. I showed up at exactly 8:01 am and the door was locked. I waited until they opened the doors at 8:10. Geez! The procedure I was getting was to remove old plastic fillings that were put in when I was a young teenager. It's called CEREC. google it! Technology is ridiculous! They digitally crafted my porcelain insets right in the office and yes it was a tad more expensive but they are very durable and if i take care of them they should last until my teeth fall out LOL. After 3 hours I was starving so when i say them walking over with my molds I was so excited that it was almost over. ooooooOH NO...guess what?! they tried one mold but it chipped while they were testing it out (before the baked it solid) I had to wait another 15 minutes for the new mold. not cool. Not only that but they had to inject more general anesthesia cuz i started to feel that stabbing cold nerve pain on my molars. BUT Once that was done everything else went smoothly and i was out of the office by 12:40 pm.
My face is still numb.
My teeth are throbbing!
My right side of the lip has invisible stretch marks (i can feel it)
I only had a cup of soup to eat.
I want real food but my teeth won't allow it yet.
I don't have any Tylenol or ibuprofen.
BUT IT's OKAY!.......because I have chocolate pudding calling me from the fridge!!!!!!

the not so good....
So I'm super busy at work, have a HUGE deadline in 2 weeks, I think I might have bicep tendinitis, i was super weak sauce today at CrossFit, still can't kip, my rowing time was 20 seconds too slow, I cant press as much as i did last year, I am getting dental work tomorrow, my baby tooth is loose, personal issues get me down, and I need contacts but don't have time during the day to go yet.
The good :) .....
I'm alive, healthier, love my job, Kathy keeps me motivated about kipping and everything else, Marc and Eric keep me positive, my hip is about 98% better, I know i will get better and stronger, my teeth will be great after the procedure tomorrow, and it's a great life to be alive and I'm grateful I can walk, run, see, talk, hear, smell and breathe.
I think my body is just tired and not working as well. I feel better that I've been taking fish oil and sleeping earlier than 2 am. I can physically feel my body needs to recover...mainly my upper body since my legs were on vacation for 8 days. I need to sleep more and eat more. I've had to up my calories and fat since I am naturally thin and burn through food like crazy. I noticed people were saying I look thinner and yes my pants do fit a tad looser. I measured and I'm leaning out. lately i have felt tired at work etc. My meal portions are 35% more so let's see how I feel. It's like I have to eat every 2-3 hours and up my fats too. Ugh! So much work to keep weight on. Thanks to my dads genetics :)
I know I won't go far at sectionals but I atleast want to be able to do the workouts :-/ strength come back in 3 months!

Plus leftover Brussels sprouts and a pluot ;)

Ring Dips
Working on getting lowwww. So 2 weeks ago i could only do 2 low "real" ring dips and now i could get 6 after our workout :) love seeing results and feeling stronger! FIST PUMP!

I can't wait to do this :) My hip flexor is feeling better everyday. I really needed to R.I.C.E. I don't feel the pain nearly at all but will give my legs one more day of rest. I want to stretch my hip flexors really good today before I workout. I hope to be 100% so I can start weightlifting and squatting :) my shoulder is a bit sore but I've always had a joint problem on my right shoulder since I was 16. Hopefully fish oil will help. Wonder what else I could do...

Gluten free-work for my jaw
I just made a gluten free bean and cheese burrito.
1 gluten free tortilla (rice and tapioca flour)
1/2 a cup of pinto beans...no salt added

"Chelsea"
Kathy and I do "Chelsea" but....I had to sub. Kathy is insane! She did awesome!
1 round every minute for 30 minutes.
